Growatt, a global distributed energy solutions provider, and Sippar Company for Renewable Energy Ltd. have announced a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the deployment of advanced solar power, hybrid inverter and energy storage technologies across Iraq.
Under the partnership, Sippar serves as Growatt’s authorized distributor and strategic partner in Iraq, delivering IP65 hybrid inverters and high-voltage energy storage solutions for residential, commercial and industrial applications nationwide. By combining Growatt’s solar and battery storage technologies with Sippar’s local engineering and service network, the collaboration aims to improve energy resilience, solar self-consumption and energy independence across Iraq.
With over eight years of experience and 600+ renewable energy projects across Iraq, Sippar brings strong expertise in solar engineering, energy storage and after-sales support.
Through the partnership, Growatt and Sippar will expand access to advanced solar and energy storage solutions across Baghdad, Basra, Erbil, Mosul, Karbala, Najaf and other Iraqi regions, with a focus on reliable performance in demanding local conditions.
The cooperation includes a portfolio of solutions for residential and commercial applications, including:
SPM 8000–10000TL-HU single-phase IP65 hybrid inverters, supporting residential and small commercial solar energy systems.
WIT three-phase IP65 hybrid inverters, including WIT 15K-HU, WIT 20K-HU and WIT 50K-XHU solutions for larger commercial and industrial applications.
AXE high-voltage battery and energy storage solutions, supporting flexible solar energy storage applications.
Residential and C&I smart energy management solutions designed to help users better manage solar generation, battery storage and electricity consumption.
The two companies have already begun cooperation involving initial shipments of Growatt's WIT, SPM and AXE product families, alongside technical preparations for high-voltage energy storage installations in the Iraqi market.
One of the central objectives of the Growatt-Sippar partnership is to support the adoption of more robust solar and storage technologies in Iraq.
While lower-protection inverter systems remain widely used in the local market, Sippar sees increasing opportunities for solutions with higher environmental protection ratings, particularly for installations exposed to challenging operating conditions. The partnership therefore places particular emphasis on Growatt's IP65 hybrid inverter solutions and high-voltage energy storage technologies.
By combining Growatt's product portfolio with Sippar's engineering and service capabilities, customers will gain access not only to solar and energy storage equipment but also to local system design, installation support, warranty coordination, technical assistance and genuine spare parts.
“We chose Growatt because its IP65 hybrid inverters and storage systems are designed to perform reliably under Iraq's challenging grid conditions and climate,” said Sippar Company for Renewable Energy. “Combining Growatt's hardware with Sippar's engineering capability and local service network helps us deliver dependable energy solutions to our customers. We look forward to expanding high-quality residential and commercial solar projects across Iraq together.”
Beyond product distribution, Growatt and Sippar intend to develop a broader long-term market ecosystem.
Future cooperation is expected to include joint participation in Iraqi renewable energy exhibitions and industry events, co-branded solar marketing campaigns, technical training programmes for installers and engineers, and greater development of commercial and industrial solar-plus-storage projects in Iraq.
The partners also plan to explore dedicated Growatt product display areas and technical service centres, strengthening local after-sales support while giving installers and customers greater access to product demonstrations, training and technical expertise.
For Sippar, the partnership is also part of its longer-term strategy to expand high-voltage energy storage applications across Iraq's commercial, industrial, agricultural and institutional sectors, while continuing to support residential solar projects through its local network.
As solar power and energy storage become increasingly important components of distributed energy infrastructure, partnerships between global technology providers and experienced local engineering companies can help accelerate practical deployment.
Through their collaboration, Growatt and Sippar aim to provide Iraqi customers with a stronger combination of solar inverter technology, battery energy storage, engineering expertise and local service support, helping solar energy become a more accessible and reliable part of Iraq's future energy landscape.
