Growatt hosted a product training and roadshow event for installers and industry partners at its German office in Friedrichsdorf. Combining product presentations, live installation demonstrations and technical discussions, the event provided practical guidance on the installation, commissioning and operation of residential energy storage systems.

The training centred on the MODA all-in-one system paired with the APX 2.0 battery, alongside the AURA 5000. Through product presentations and hands-on demonstrations, participants explored the systems’ installation and operation, with opportunities to raise technical questions and share experience from real-world applications.
A key part of the session was a live demonstration of MODA’s installation process. The system includes a base, CT clamps and a data logger. In the configuration demonstrated at the event, a 5 kWh APX 2.0 battery module was placed on the base, with the MODA unit stacked above it. This arrangement requires no cabling between the stacked modules and no separate smart meter, simplifying system assembly.

During the live demonstration, the team completed the system configuration in just 10 minutes using the ShineTools app, highlighting the fast and straightforward commissioning process for installers.

Current development focuses on extending the integration of weather forecasts and household consumption patterns to the Battery Ready inverter series, further optimising energy storage and consumption.SSM is available free of charge, with no subscription fees. It requires a compatible inverter, battery storage system, smart meter and a recent-generation data logger.

Participants also toured the Growatt Roadshow Truck, where they examined the MOD HU + APX 2.0 energy storage solution and the WIT low-voltage energy storage solution up close. The truck display complemented the training session by introducing additional system configurations and providing further opportunities to discuss installation and application.
Throughout the event, practical demonstrations and open technical discussions connected product information with questions arising from installation and everyday operation. Installers and industry partners were able to exchange experience and clarify technical details directly with the Growatt team.
